I really haven't blogged in a long while. I've just been pretty busy lately and haven't had as much time to just sit down and do absolutely nothing. The sucky part about it all is that I've actually had a lot to talk about.
Just few things to bring up.
On Monday, instead of working on my Soc paper, I was persuaded by my roommates to go watch the meteor shower instead. Mad, Kathy, Korey, Kwan and I were supposed to meet up with Eric and some other people, but we ended up getting bad directions (which we know was going to happen) and just ended up parking the car on the side of the road at the peak of the hill and just found a little narrow pathway at the top. We used Mad's car cover to lay on, and as we sat there shivering, I realized how nice it all looked with the full moon out and all. We were able to see a good number of meteors, and all in all it was quite a chill experience.
On Tuesday I was supposed to go and see Ehud Barak (many saying who??) the former prime minister of Israel speak, but I had to work on my Soc paper. Blah.
On Wednesday, after a number of false starts, Erina, Jen and I went to go watch Harry Potter in Emeryville. How was it? Pretty good. I really liked the different effects and enjoyed seeing a lot of the characters develop according to the books. Kenneth Branaugh was really good as well. The pacing seemed kinda off at times though, and maybe I didn't LOVE it because the Chamber of Secrets was my least favorite book of the series. But fun nonetheless. I don't get the final banquet scene at ALL though, so if someone wants to explain that to me.
On Thursday Night it was time for CLUBBING!!! Hehhe a group of us (Jesse, Peter, Korey, Kwan, Ryan, Jason, Eric, Jessica, Cynthia, Christine, Kathy, Caroline, Mad and I) went out to the Limelight in Mountain View (Korey's hood) and danced the night away. We were on the guest list, but we got there kinda late so we ended up paying.
This was my first time clubbing, so it was definitely an experience. To answer your questions, yes it is dirty in there. No the girls there were not fine. In fact they were pretty gross. No I didn't pick up any girls. Yes I did have fun. Yes I did dance quite a bit. Yes it was incredibly loud in there. Yes we attempted to shield our girls from outside intruders.
Afterwards we went to Jack In the Crack and ater outside Safeways while some people went and got drinks.
All in all I did have quite a bit of fun. It was an interesting week because our sophomore group had this whole discussion about whether or not it was appropriate for Christians to go clubbing. And actually going and seeing what I saw, I had quite a bit to think about. Just know I like dancing. I likeitalot. Heheh so if you guys ever wanna just throw a shindig with a stereo system and a strobe light, let me know.
On Friday, after large group I waited for Huey to come and just chilled for a bit.
On Saturday Grant and Brian came and joined us. Oh I got screwed. So here's what happened. I was planning on just watching the game at home with Brian and Grant, and on Friday night I got a call from Justin wondering if I wanted his ticket, but I declined because I didn't wanna leave Grant and Brian hanging. On Sat morning Kwan gets a call while they're on their way over and turns out they got tickets. I was like "...."
It was cool though. I went with Justin to Dan's place and watched it there with Erina and them. We had cheesy sticks and pizza. Mmmm....
BTW CAL ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 30-7. Igber is the man. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The rest of the day just consisted of eating and playing a bunch of Halo. 3-3 baby. Oh we also went to Grace's to celebrate her a happy 19th birthday. Brian, Grant, Kwan and I were gonna sing her an acappella version but it was just an abort because Brian just couldn't take it seriously. Plus we just yeh...
TODAY, after going on just 5 hours of sleep and going to church and all that good stuff, I joined a bunch of people to go watch RENT in SF. Fun show. Dunno if I'd go watch it 3 times like some people I know. But it was definitely worth watching.
Anyway, as you can imagine, I am of three things right now:
1. Out of money.
2. Incredibly tired.
3. Behind in work.
So I shall end this here. Sorry this was so boring and long.
