HALLO.....

After Drama today I went and sold back some books for some money I owe Grace. I checked my History grade in the library and had lunch with Janet to discuss some drama ministry stuff. I think it was a good talk, surprisingly it was the most serious talk I think I've ever had with her. Usually we end up just messing around with each other, but it was kinda scary how solemn the entire conversation was. But it's better that way, you wouldn't want the ministry in the hands of some jokesters right?

Large group was pretty good, but for some reason I couldn't help but feel that it was a little bland. I mean the talk and worship sessions were good, but it seemed like that's all that was. I mean it's not bad per say, and I'm not saying that large group has to be this circus or anything, but it just felt a little dry. Once again there were so many instances where I felt like I didn't know a lot of people there. I either can (A) continue the way I've been which is running around and having little chit chats with people I know (B) Settle and have one good conversation with a friend (C) Try and run around and meet new people (D) Settle and have one good conversation with a new person.

The last two choices are difficult for me, simply because I'm not that great at meeting new people. I have a hard time just walking around and introducing myself to someone I don't know. I don't consider myself anti-social or anything, I just don't think I'm easily very comfortable about jumping to meet someone I don't know. Anyway, afterwards we all ended up going home and not doing anything.

Oh, well Korey and Kwan and I ended up recording an acoustic/piano version of "Sweetness" by Jimmy Eat World. I had to do it four times because Korey kept on messing up his echo parts. If you've ever sang "sweetness" you know how high the song is, so if you ever hear the recording (which you never shall), you'll hear that my voice is pretty gone. Fun stuff.

I'm out again guys. Try to miss me.

Hey ya'lls,

Yesterday I went to the historic A's game where the beat the KC Royals for 20 consecutive wins for a new AL record. It was my first baseball game ever so I was pretty excited, and our seats were pretty decent as well. The first part was awesome as we scored 11 runs by the 3rd inning. Only downside was when Tim and I went to go get hot dogs, we were in line for an hour and a half because they kept on running out of hot dogs. At one point our line had no cashier for like 20 minutes. When we did have one, we had to cheer him on to fight for the dogs. Pretty ridiculous.

By the eighth inning, the Royals had made an amazing comeback so the score was tied 11-11 in the bottom of the ninth when the A's won with a magical homerun. Magic baby.

Yesterday was Jason's birthday so we tried to throw this surprise b-day thing for him today. It was supposed to be pot-luck, but there was some miscommunication so the only person who ended up bring food besides the cake was Kwan with some ribs. So when Jason came in, it was pretty anti-climatic so I felt pretty bad. But hope he enjoyed it a little bit. The ribs and cake were good though.

Erina, Grace, and Petermin came over and we watched "My Sassy Girl" which was some hit Korean romantic comedy. Janet and some other people had been ranting about it and I saw some over at Jessica, Shinny, Cynthia, and Grace's place (still looking for a name for that place) and it was pretty darn funny so I borrowed it from Jessica. The movie was so freakin good. I know that sounds funny coming from me and everything, but it was so good. Hahah. Definitely a must-watch. May have been one of my favorite movies this year, definitely my fav. Korean movie. Hahaha. Funny, good plot, and the girl was pretty darn cute too, Jeon Ji Hyun. So money.

Dave, Fil, Jason, and Bbin came to visit. So Korey and I went with them to Sherry's place to check it out. Her place is pretty darn nice. When you walk in, you kinda forget that you're in Berkeley. It's this two-story condo with its own laundry machines!!! We then went over to Tinwin's place to check it out. Definitely not as ghetto as Tinwin (or TDub as Fil calls her) thinks it is, it was actually pretty nice. Afterwards we went and hung out in the Telegraph area for a little bit. To close off the night the guys came back to our place and we all just chilled for a little bit.

Today was pretty fun seeing some peeps for the first time in a while, but I did absolutely no work today. I suck so bad. :(

P.S. My Blog has hit the 1000 hit mark!!! Okay I'm pathetic.

-Phil

I realized few people these days update their blog on a regular basis. I know that sounds hypocritical coming out of me, but still, where's the dedication folks. A few people have been pretty consistent, so I give the old thumbs up to you.

I just checked Huey's Blog and kinda chuckled when he showed his utter grief after having found out that old Sarah Michelle Gellar married Freddie what's his name. Big Deal Huester, she wasn't that hot anyway. Hehehe. JP. Well I seriously don't think she's that hot, but people have different tastes which is something I very much have come to terms with this year. Now for me, you shoulda seen the look on my face when I saw Jimmy Freakin Fallon making out with my girlfriend Natalie in that MTV VMA commercial. I mean I know it's acting and everything, and Natalie has tried to calm me down and stuff over the years, but just the idea of some guy like Jimmy Freakin Fallons lips on hers makes me wanna shoot someone. Don't even get me started on Hayden Christ-sakes-I'm-Dead.

Not much today in terms of events. Class. Serious case of allergies. Chilled outside Dwinelle and talked with Candice for a little bit. Although it was only like ten minutes it was the first time I had actually spoken to someone outside of class all day so it was good. I know I've stated this before, but I seriously can think of few things cooler than just chilling and talking.

I think I'm going to the A's Game tomorrow. Time to beat the record!!! Whoo!!!

BTW, I need to grow some balls.

Hey everyone. Right now I'm back at Berk because I thought there would be tons of fun stuff to do here, yet here I am sitting alone at my place. All my roommates are gone, the guys downstairs are playing ball, and Dave just left because he was bored. Went down to "The 202" for a little bit, and some peeps were over for a little bit. I got there a little late though, because Josh started doing his reading and Phil Sharp was being all dedicated and started doing the dishes and then went to work on his homework. I then got all inspired and came back and just did the dishes, scrubbed the counter tops, and cleaned my bathtub. So womanly. Hehhe, if there are any feminists out there, know that I was joking.

BTW, feminists are nothing more than female chauvinists. :)

The rest of the weekend has been a tiny bit more eventful. Well perhaps eventful isn't the word. Fun is a bit more suitable. Would you rather have me start from Sunday and work back? Well this is my blog and I do whatever I please. I'm starting with Friday Night.

On Thursday I went to Guitar Center with Dennis Cole, Yi, and Jesse. Got to briefly yet so tenderly play with my baby. Taylor 614CE. Mmmm...someday we shall be together. But until that day I shall have to settle for holding you only in my dreams.

Friday
Today I had my first actual day of Drama 10, my only class on Friday. It was pretty fun. Some of the games were a little awkward simply because sometimes I have a hard time acting in front of people I don't really know well. This isn't to say I can't perform in front of crowds, in fact that's where I prefer to perform the most. It's just when I'm in a small environment, it just feels kinda awkward. But anyway, those two hours just flew by. Beats sitting in a lecture hall for two hours. How can one not want to take this class?

Had my last day of work at the Student Store. I was kinda let off because my availability hours were terrible, which is understandable. All in all it was pretty decent working there, I got to meet a lot of people, both and new and old. The managers were pretty friendly as well, my only real complaint was the environment. It was close to me and everything, I just hated going downstairs into this stuff basement of a store. Bleh.

When Dave came, Kwan and I headed off with him to go to large group. Since large group is in 10 Evans now, I thought it'd be real cool to go by car. What I didn't know was that something was being held in the Greek Theatre meaning that there would be traffic up the wazzoo thereby meaning that parking was hell. We luckily found these three empty parking spots right outside of Evans which didn't seem to much of a sign that it would be illegal to park there. We were suspicious, but late so we just decided that that would have to do. Turned out we didn't get a ticket.

Large group was pretty good. It was still pretty packed and this time it didn't feel as weird being around all these new people. This week I felt somewhat more comfortable again which is good.

Random side note: I've had a few instances this week where someone will say "hi" or wave at me and I will wave or say "hi" back while not knowing who in the heck that person is. Or I may sort of remember him or her or not know her name at all. It's like, "Hey phil!" (Me): "Hey you!" I usually end up feeling pretty bad afterwards, but better that then feeling even worse than by letting the other person know that I don't know who he or she is.

After large group, went to the Asian Ghetto, headed on over to Cynthia, Grace, Jessica and Shinny's place. I need a nickname for that place. Anyway, just headed back to my place, and had this huge 4 on 4 Halo CTF game. On my team was Josh, Tim, and Dennis. On the opposing team was Justin, Dave, Kwan, and Josh and Justin's friend Kevin. It was the longest and most intense Halo game ever played. Score was tied 2-2, and on a fast break they had the flag and were about to score, until Josh came in out of nowhere and was about to run Dave over when he....MISSED. Argh. It was fun though.

On Saturday,
went home with Kwan, and didn't do much except hang with my family for a short while. My grandma had just returned from Korea so it was nice seeing her face again.

That night, I met up with Grant at Starbucks and just chilled even though neither of us bought anything. Later on, Kwan met up with us, and after making a random McDonald's stop (their ice cream is so money), and we decided to just drive randomly.

This would have been totally money if I didn't feel restricted by the fact that I was driving and fas money was an issue, but it was pretty cool just driving around and talking. We eventually found ourselves at Cal State Hayward looking at a pretty cool view of the bay area. I ended up talking about random things like temples. Bwahahah. Okie abort.

When we got back, I went over to Grant's house to watch an old high school video Grant made on the last few days of high school. It was just weird seeing how everyone was a year ago and how it seemed like some people had changed a lot and how some people were exactly the same. I came off as a dirty slacker in the video, which I don't think was indicative of how I really was or am now. Just so happened that all the shots of me give off that impression.

May I say though that I really liked my haircut then. :)

Anyway, that is all. I am too tired to blog effectively. Night. Hope this satiates your guys' cravings. If not, call me, we'll chat over coffee or something. And the fact that I don't drink coffee is okay, because it would just get in the way of me trying to tell you guys what you want to know. Win win situation. Booyah!
