Guess what? Half of today's post got deleted. Anyway yesterday I went to Berkeley. A couple of things I did.

1) Had La Burrita again. Mmm...

2) Saw Grace and Cynthia's apartment. Although I must say our placce is slightly bigger....Mwahahaah

3) Duke, Mo, and I took Grant, Dave, and Justin on a tour of our beautiful campus which they did not enjoy. Ingrates....

4) Met up with Tim and Bbin and saw Duke's house where he's living with 11 other guys. Crazy. Huge 3 story house though.

5) Played ball at Clark Kerr. I must say I don't know if I enjoyed playing yesterday as much. I think it's because a lot of people their were a bit more....self-indulgent in their playing. They'd try fancier drives and stuff as opposed to passing it. I mean I'm not saying I deserved to have been passed to, but there were quite a few times when people were wide open, but some peeps would just drive in and stuff instead. I'm not surprised, and I know I'll have to get used to that in the future.

Anyway today was the Fourth of July. I woke up incredibly late for some reason. I appear to be sleeping more and more for some reason. Not good, esp. with me starting up summer school next week.

Made some chocolate covered strawberries and headed on over to Duke's for his barbeque. That was pretty fun. There were a lot of people there I didn't know, and I know I should have went and introduced myself and all that, but they looked pretty comfortable with all the people they were hanging out with, and I was comfortable with all the people I was hanging out with, so I think it all worked out. There was plenty of food there, as Duke's super sweet mom just kept on pumping out more and more food. Whoo...and to think, I'm going to another bbq tomorrow at Jesse's.

After the barbeque we all headed over to San Ramon to go watch the fireworks show. It was pretty hectic with the sheer number of people we had and thankfully we got organized right in time for the show. It was pretty cool for the most part although I must say it seems it's getting shorter and shorter each year. Or maybe it just feels like that because we weren't there very long before the fireworks show.

Afterwards, we tried to do something, but everyone was kinda tired so that just fell apart. This was probably for the best though considering how early I have to wake up tomorrow for the So. Cal Trip.

Anyway, my last blog for a couple of days so savor it!!!

Hey blog. Today was definitely more productive than yesterday. I didn't go online at all until right before accountability. Well maybe a little in the morning. And maybe I wasn't really productive, but I did get a few things done.

Woke up late again for some reason (pffff...) and I went and made myself some good breakfast. Eggs, sausage, pancakes. Yeh that's right. I cooked it...booyah. LOL.

I made some calls concerning my hepatitis B shots (hahha...I accidentally wrote hepaTITS), and then I went and played pool with Dave. My I say two things after that. 1) The eight ball hates Dave, thereby allowing me to whup him up....JP... and 2) The pool goddess loves me. :)

Dahye swung by and we went and grabbed dinner at Applebee's. Afterwards, Dave and I hooped it up at the courts and just shot around. We were too tired to try anything. Dave didn't even want to play horse for crying outloud. And when were shooting around, if he had to run to get the ball, he'd stop midstep, and make me run after it. It's all good though, because I did that sometimes as well. Mwahahaha...

I finally got the entire accountability group going, and we met today at my house. I would like to say it went well. I think a few people were uncomfortable a little at first, just because I think some people weren't used to it too much, or really didn't know what to expect. But I think it went well. We went off tangents sometime, but I (like a boring bible study leader or something) and to try and bring us back on track. People kept going off about how my ice smelled funny, and about furniture and stuff. Yeh...well I really do hope that this is a success, and not something everyone (inc. myself) flakes out on midway through. I really think accountability is important especially during the summer, when we all fall into our pits of laziness and production levels of zip. It's also pretty hard to actually fellowship with college people our age, so I'm hoping that people recognize that we have a good thing going here. Heheh...

Finished the night with In N' Out. Only way to go that late at night. There's actually Jack in the Crack, but I'm telling the story here, so yes...In N' Out...only way to go.

Hey blog.

Not much to write about today, because I stayed in all freaking day. What a waste.

If not that I had seen two good movies, Dogma and Requiem for a Dream. Dogma was good for what it's worth. A comedy not to be taken seriously, but at the same time showing that it's script and been well thought out. Good star power too. But what else do you expect from a Kevin Smith film.

Requiem for a Dream was a darn good movie. Probably one of the better films I've seen in a while, but it was pretty chilling and disturbing as well. I don't think it was until the closing sequence that I realized what all the fuss was about. The film wasn't gratuitously graphic or anything (although there are some graphic scenes), it's more psychologically disturbing. It's attempts to put is into the mind of a drug addict, as it shows a sequence of the addict using the drugs (creatively done may I add), showing temporary happiness, then falling back into the cycle of finding money to get the drugs. The most moving character for me has to have been Sara Goldfarb played by Ellen Burstyn who did an awesome job in the film. I seriously felt so bad for her character, and what it was reduced to by the end of the film. Not that the other actors did a bad job or anything, in fact it was probably the best performances that they had had in their respective careers, just saying Ellen Bursytn did a brilliant job of connecting with her character and with the audience. Just a good film.

What will tomorrow bring? More films. I dunno...ooh Trainspotting just finished downloading. Must watch...
